Viking Interactions

Viking interactions.
The Vikings had many interactions with other societies, but the majority of them were not civil. As the Vikings spent most of their lifetimes on the oceans, they discovered many undiscovered countries. However, Vikings are often known as invaders and fighters, a lot of the Vikings spent all their time trading. They often traded with England. They bought goods such as silver (this was the most important material they traded), silk, spices, wine, jewelry, glass and pottery. They traded honey, wheat, wool, wood and leather etc. in return. They also imported wine from France and Germany. The Vikings traveled by sea to France, Spain, Portugal, Mediterranean, Italy, Russia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
